As we make our way through Holy Week and Easter Sunday, faith leaders, activists and immigrant families across the country have reflect . . .

on the sacrifices made through our fight for immigration reform.

And we remain hopeful that these sacrifices, prayers and hard work will be rewarded.

Despite a temporary hold on President Obama’s executive actions ordered by a lone Texas judge, our movement continues to prepare for their implementation.

The judge’s ruling was a result of a politically motivated lawsuit brought by Texas and a number of other states. It temporarily denies relief from deportation for certain parents of U.S. citizens and green card holders as well as immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. But it is far from legally sound and almost certainly will be overturned upon appeal.
