The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is an IRS-supported service that provides free tax preparation to eligible households. By partnering with United Way Bay Area, Amigos ensures our community has access to trusted, high-quality tax help.

Walk-ins only. No appoitments needed.

In partnership with United Way Bay Area’s Free Tax Help program Amigos de Guadalupe is proud to offer free, high-quality tax preparation services for low- and moderate-income families through the VITA program. Our trained and IRS-certified volunteers are here to help you file accurately and securely—at no cost.
What to Bring
To ensure we can complete your tax return, please bring:

W-2 forms

Valid ID for all adults

ITIN or Social Security Card for yourself and any dependents

Any additional tax documents, such as:

1099 forms
-
Interest statements
-
ACA/health coverage forms (1095-A, 1095-B, or 1095-C)

Direct deposit information (routing & account numbers)

Who Qualifies?
VITA services are designed for individuals and families who:

Earn moderate to low income, or

Need assistance due to limited English, disabilities, or other barriers
